If you are going through a desperate situation, here’s a story of a woman who grappled with life’s tough challenges!

A Saga of Enduring Hope

Luke narrates the story of a woman suffering from a chronic incurable ailment. Surprisingly, this story is a side story that interrupts the story of Jesus healing Jairus’ daughter.

The story begins with Jairus, a leader of the local synagogue, reaching out to Jesus due to his daughter’s illness. He invited Jesus to come to his house to heal her. As the narrative progresses, while Jesus is on his way to Jairus’ home, this (unnamed) woman appears out of nowhere.

You have the potential to receive a miracle

Notably, Jairus was the leader of the synagogue while the woman was merely a nobody (perhaps that is why she remains unnamed in the story). Both Jairus and the woman are in great despair and seek Jesus’ help albeit quite differently. 

Through this portrayal, Luke tells us that everyone is welcome to seek Jesus irrespective of social status or spiritual condition. Such equality before God (in status and access) should encourage us to seek him in times of desperation. 

After all, God is accessible and everyone has the potential to receive a miracle – You included!

You can experience the touch of Grace

The woman was suffering for 12 long years. But much more than that she bore the scars of social ostracization due to her medical condition. She was desperate and Jesus was her only hope.

Similarly, when Jairus’ daughter fell ill, he found himself in a challenging situation. Both the woman and Jairus reach out to Jesus because of their faith in his ability to help them. What are you desperate for? And what do you want God to do for you today?

 Your small step of faith can make a big difference

In the Biblical narrative, she is not merely a woman with vulnerabilities. She is also a woman of courage and faith. She doesn’t merely hope or wish. She acts “dramatically” in faith and courageously willing to risk everything, even societal norms for a touch of healing. 

Despite her vulnerabilities, she wades through the crowd and touches the hem of Jesus’ garment. Her actions serve as a reminder that sometimes, faith requires us to take risks, step out of our comfort zones, and challenge societal norms. 

Drawing a parallel to our own lives, when you face challenges, it is natural to feel scared or overwhelmed. This story then prompts the question: Are you willing to take risks in your faith journey? By taking a small step you can make a big difference! 

Returning to the story, the woman finds healing and wholeness. Her act of faith reveals the transformative power of audacious faith. This is also a story of immense hope. Can you recall a time when you took a leap of faith?

Your faith can be a source of strength and inspiration

As the story progresses, Jairus receives the news of his daughter’s death. Jairus could have easily lost hope. But he doesn’t. Perhaps the faith of the woman and the miraculous instant healing helped Jairus to hold on to hope. 

This woman becomes a source of strength, courage and inspiration. Through her, Jairus recognized that the miraculous is possible. He understood that if Jesus could heal this woman he could certainly heal my daughter too!

This story is a testament to the idea that in moments of desperation, an act of faith can unlock divine grace. So, keep an open mind for unconventional or surprising ways for God to break into your life while tackling your challenges

ஒரு தடுமாற்றத்தின் கதை ( லூக்கா 8: 22 – 25)

சீடர்கள் இயேசுவின் மேல் நம்பிக்கை வைத்திருந்தது உண்மைதான். ஆனால் ஒரு சிறிய கணப்பொழுதில் அவர்களின் நம்பிக்கையில் தடுமாற்றம் ஏற்பட்டது. சவால்களை சந்திக்கும் போது நாம் ஏன் நம்முடைய நம்பிக்கையை இழக்கிறோம்?

இயேசுவின் சீடர்கள் அவரை பின்தொடர்ந்தனர். அவரைப் நெருக்கமாக பின்பற்றினார்கள். இயேசு தம் வாழ்க்கை முறையையினை  அவர்களோடு பகிந்துக்கொண்டார். சீடர்கள் பக்தியிலும் , பிரார்த்தனையிலும் மற்றும் தெய்வ நம்பிக்கையில் வெகுவாக வளர்ந்து வந்தனர்.

ஆனால் லூக்கா 8:22-25 இயேசுவின் சீடர்கள்  வாழ்க்கையில் நிகழும் ஒரு தடுமாற்றத்தை நமக்கு முன்வைக்கிறது. இது சுவாரிசாசுவம் வாய்ந்தது. வாழ்க்கை “புயலில்” நாம் சிக்கி தவிக்கும் தருணங்களை ஒரு உருவகமாக இதுவிளங்குகிறது. நம்பிக்கை பற்றிய புரிதலுக்கு இது சவால் விடுகின்றது. 

நம்பிக்கையில் தடுமாற்றம்

நாம் அக்கரைக்கு செல்ல வேண்டும்”, என்று இயேசு தம்  சீடர்களிடம் கூறினார்.    

ஏரியைக் கடந்து செல்ல இயேசுவும் அவருடைய சீடர்களும் படகில் ஏறினார்கள்

அவர்களுடையப் படகோட்டம் சுமுகமாக இருந்தது. பயணம்  சுகமாகவும் இருந்தது.

இயேசு அப்படியே தூங்கிவிட்டார். 

சீடர்கள் இதை பெரிதாக எடுத்துக்கொள்ள வில்லை. 

அமைதியாக இருந்த ஏரி இப்போழுது ஒரு பயங்கர  புயலினால் கொந்தளிப்பாக மாறுகிறது

பேரலைகள் படகின்மேல் மோதியது. 

படகிற்குள் தண்ணீர் வந்தது,

படகு கவிழும் நிலையில் இருந்தது.

இப்பெரும்புயலின் சீற்றத்தால் படகில்  பீதி அதிகரித்தது.

“ஐயோ  நாம் மூழ்கிவிடப் போகிறோம்!”  என்று பதட்டத்துடன் சீடர்கள் இயேசுவை எழுப்பினார்கள்.

ஆரம்பத்தில் இருக்கும் ஒரு அமைதியான உணர்வு விரைவாக பயமாகவும் விரக்தியாகவும் மாறுகிறது

சீடர்கள் இயேசுவின் மேல் நம்பிக்கை வைத்திருந்தது உண்மைதான். ஆனால் ஒரு சிறிய கணப்பொழுதில் அவர்களின் நம்பிக்கையில் தடுமாற்றம் ஏற்பட்டது. சீடர்கள் பயம் மற்றும் அவநம்பிக்கை போன்ற  மனித எதிர்வினைகளை வெளிப்படுத்துகிறார்கள். 

நம்மில் பலர் இந்தச் சூழ்நிலையில் எழும் சந்தேகம், பயம், மற்றும் விரக்தியுடன் சுலபமாக தொடர்பு படுத்திக்கொள்ளலாம். இந்த கதை நம் ஒவ்வொருவரையும் ஆழமாகத் தொடுகிறது இல்லையா?  

இயேசு நம்முடனே

காற்றின் சீற்றம், கடலின் இரைச்சல், சீடர்களின் கூப்பாட்டிற்கு மத்தியில் இயேசு விழித்தெழுந்தார். இது ஒரு இக்கட்டான நெருக்கடிதான். ஆனால்  புயலின் சீற்றத்தை பார்த்து அவர் கவலைப்படவில்லை. சிறிதும் கலங்கவில்லை. இயேசு அமைதியாகவே  இருந்தார். 

உடனடியாக காற்றையும் நீரின் கொந்தளிப்பையும் கடிந்துகொண்டார். உடனே பெருங்காற்றும் பேரலைகளும் ஓய்ந்தனஅமைதி உண்டாயிற்று.

அவர் அவர்களிடம், “உங்கள் நம்பிக்கை எங்கே?” என்றார்.

வாழ்க்கையின் சவால்களை சந்திக்கும் போது நாம் ஏன் நம்முடைய நம்பிக்கையை இழக்கிறோம் என்று தெரியுமா? இயேசுவின் இந்த கேள்வியால் திடீரென்று இந்த கதை நம்பிக்கை பற்றிய கதையாக மாறுகிறது. நம்பிக்கை பற்றிய நம்முடைய  புரிதலுக்கு இது சவால் விடுகின்றது. 

நம்பிக்கையை தவறவிடுவது ஏற்புடையதா?

இந்த கதையின் மையத்தில் இருக்கும் கேள்விகள் என்ன தெரியுமா? இயேசுவின்மேல் நாம் நம்பிக்கை வைத்துள்ளோம் என்று சொன்னால் அதன் பொருள் என்ன? இந்த நம்பிக்கையை தற்காலிகமாக இழக்க முடியுமா? இந்த நம்பிக்கையை தவறவிடுவது ஏற்புடையதா?

நெருக்கடியான நேரங்களில் சந்தேகத்தினாலும் பயத்தினாலும் நம் நம்பிக்கையில் தடுமாற்றம் ஏற்படுவது மனித இயலப்புத்தான்.  ஒரு சிலர் அந்நேரங்களில் நம்பிக்கையை முழுவதுமாக தொலைத்து விடுவதும் உண்டு. 

இயேசு நம்மோடு இருக்கையில் நாம் ஏன் பயப்படவேண்டும்? நாம் ஏன் நம்முடைய நம்பிக்கையை இழக்க வேண்டும்? 

அவர் யார் என்பது தெரியுமா?

 புயல்கலின் சீரத்திற்க்கு நடுவே கடவுளின் கிருபையும் பாதுகாப்பும் நமக்கு உண்டு. 

 நாம் கடவுளின் கண்காணிப்பு வளையத்திற்குள் தான் இருக்கிறோம். அவர் பிரசன்னம் நம்மை சூழ்ந்து கொண்டுதான் இருக்கிறது.  

இந்நிகழ்வு காற்றையும் கடலையும் கட்டளையிடும் இவர் யார்? என்கிறன்ற சிந்தனைக்குள் சீடர்களை நகர்த்தி செல்லுகிறது. அவர் யார்? என்பதை நமக்கு நன்றாக விழக்குகிறது.

இயேசு ஒரு போதகர் மட்டுமல்ல அதைவிட மேலானவர். சீடர்களின் பிரமிப்பும் ஆச்சரியமும் இயேசு ஆளுமையை நமக்கு எடுத்துக்காட்டுகிறது. 

இயேசுவை பின்பற்றும் நமக்கு அவர் யார் என்பது தெரியுமா? அவர் யார் என்பதை முழுமையாக அறிந்திருக்கின்றோமா? அதை அங்கீகரித்து செயல்படுகிறோமா? அல்லது இதை எளிதாக மறந்து விடுகிறோமா?   

நடைமுறைப் பாடங்கள்

நாம் கடினமான காலங்களில் செல்லும்போது, இயேசுவின் மீதான நம்பிக்கையை இழக்க நேரிடும். தடம் புரண்ட நம்பிக்கையை நாம் மீண்டும் சரிசெய்துவிட முடியுமா? அதை மறுபடியும் மீட்டெடுக்கும் வழி தான் என்ன?

இந்தக் கதையில் பல நடைமுறைப் பாடங்கள் உள்ளன

  1.  உணர்ச்சிகளின் ரீதியாகவோ, உடல் ரீதியாகவோ, அல்லது ஆன்மீக ரீதியாகவோ நாம் ‘புயல்களை’எதிர்கொள்ளும்போது இயேசுவின் மீது நம்பிக்கை வைப்பதற்கான நினைவூட்டலாக இந்தக் கதை செயல்படுகிறது.
  2.  நமது அச்சங்களையும் மற்றும் குறைகளையும் ஏற்றுக்கொள்வது அவசியம். பலவீனமான தருணங்கள் இருக்கத்தான் செய்யும். ஆனால்  இந்த “புயல்” அனுபவங்கள் மூலம் நாம் நம்பிக்கையில் வளர முடியும். 
  3. தெய்வீக தலையீடு நம் வாழ்வில் சாத்தியம் தான். அது நடைமுறைக்கு  அப்பாற்பட்டது அல்ல என்பதை கதை மீண்டும் வலியுறுத்துகிறது.

உங்கள் நம்பிக்கை எங்கே?

இந்தக் கதை எந்தக் காலத்துக்கும் இடத்துக்கும் பொருந்தும். வாழ்க்கை “புயலில்” நாம் சிக்கி தவிக்கும் தருணங்களை ஒரு உருவகமாக இது விழங்குகின்றது. 

வாழ்க்கையின் சவால்களை சந்திக்கும் போது நாம் ஏன் நம்முடைய நம்பிக்கையை இழக்கிறோம்?

கடவுள் நம் அருகில் இருக்கிறார். இதை நாம் அறிந்திருக்கிறோமா? அவர் எப்போதும் நம்முடன் இருப்பதால் பாதுகாப்பை நாம் உணர முடியும்.

காற்றையும் கடலையும் கட்டுப்படுத்தக்கூடியவர் அவர். ஆபத்தின் விளிம்பில் இயேசு நமக்கு உதவுவார் மற்றும் நம் வாழ்க்கையில் அமைதியைக் கொண்டுவருவார் என்பதை என்றும் மறக்காதீர்கள்.

Do you Stay Strong When Life Tests You? 

This story takes us through a wide range of emotions we experience in our own faith journeys, challenging us to consider our own reactions. How do you react in the face of desperation, delays, bad news, and miraculous outcomes?

Have you ever faced a challenge that felt insurmountable? Can you recall a moment when your faith was severely tested? 

Have there been moments in your life when you felt frustrated? Despair, delays and deadends can devastate your faith journey.  Tell me, did your faith stay strong? 

If you’re finding it tough to keep your faith strong and active when things aren’t going as expected, here’s a story that can speak to your situation. Perhaps, it might be the boost your faith needs right now.

Luke 8:40-42; 49-56 recounts the tale of Jairus and his dying daughter. This desperate father shows an unshakeable faith that leads to miraculous outcomes. It’s a compelling tale that has a lot to teach us modern-day Christians, particularly about holding onto faith during challenging times.

A desperate father

The story is set in a quaint lakeside town. As Jesus returns from his ministry, Jairus reaches out to him. Why? Jairus’ plight as a desperate father is both heartbreaking and relatable.

Jairus’ only daughter, a child of around 12 years, was almost dying. He wanted Jesus to come to his house and heal his little girl. Jesus was his last hope. 

Can our vulnerabilities be the catalyst for faith? To be fair, faith isn’t a show of invulnerability. Rather, it requires us to open up about our weaknesses and needs to find sufficiency in God.

Jairus’ encounter with Jesus exposes his vulnerabilities. But, this becomes an adventure of faith.

Holding on to Hope

Jairus is in a state of utter desperation. Thankfully, Jesus agrees to go with him, and they start heading to Jairus’ home. As they continue their journey to Jairus’ house, someone brings the devastating news—the death of Jairus’ daughter. 

When Jairus receives the news that his daughter has died, all seems lost. The situation appears impossible. At this point, Jairus may have been overwhelmed by the sense of dread, sorrow, or even momentary hopelessness. 

Despite hearing the worst news a parent could hear, Jairus continues with Jesus to his home. While we don’t hear his spoken reaction to Jesus’ assurances, his actions speak volumes. He continues to have faith in Jesus, even when things seem beyond repair.

But instead of giving in to despair, Jairus continues to hope. This highlights how hope often exists side by side with despair, as a kind of resistance against overwhelming odds.

Jesus turns to Jairus and says, “Don’t be afraid; just believe, and she will be healed.”  It is at this moment we see the essence of faith, believing even when it seems like there’s no reason to. 

Just like Jairus, many of us go through life situations where the outcome seems bleak, and we’re prompted to lose faith. It is in those bleakest moments that our faith truly gets put to the test.

The miraculous

Jesus arrives at Jairus’s home only to find people mourning and in disbelief. When Jesus insists that the girl is not dead but sleeping, there’s a mixed feeling of doubt and hope.

The mourners laugh at Jesus’ statement that the girl is not dead but asleep. The crowd’s laughter reveals a collective scepticism that can often surround expressions of faith and hope. However, the mockery did not dampen Jairus’ faith. His focus stays on Jesus’ assurance. 

Is Jesus in denial, or should we dare to hope? Strangely, he only allows Peter, James, John, and the child’s parents to enter the room where the girl is lying. Jesus takes her by the hand and simply says, “My child, get up!” She immediately stands up.

Jesus raises the girl from the dead. He does the irreversible and makes the impossible possible. It’s worth noting that such scepticism doesn’t deter the acts of miraculous healing. This speaks to how faith often has to withstand societal doubts and even mockery.

The story also invites us to trust in divine timing. Even when things don’t go as we plan, a greater plan might be at work. It teaches us that miracles are possible even when they seem unlikely. The narrative encourages us to deepen our faith, especially when faced with life’s trials.

What We Can Learn?

Through the lens of this biblical story, we get a vivid glimpse into the human condition’s intricate relationship with faith, hope, and despair.

1. Faith Amidst Challenges

Jairus shows us the power of faith even when circumstances seem bleak. His unshaken trust in Jesus resulted in the miraculous healing of his daughter.

2. Jesus’ Ability to Bring Life in Death

In the raising of Jairus’s daughter, we see a foreshadowing of Jesus’s resurrection. The story serves as a powerful reminder that Jesus can bring life where there is death, and hope where there is despair.

3. The Importance of Believing

Jesus’s statement, “Don’t be afraid; just believe, and she will be healed,” is a call to all of us. In our own lives, when we face trials, it’s our faith that can pave the way for miracles.

4. Divine Timing

The lesson of divine timing can offer a new perspective. Trusting in divine timing means having faith that God will definitely intervene in your failing career, strained relationships, health challenges, life transitions, and personal milestones in his own way and in his own time. 

Conclusion 

Like the many other stories before it in Luke’s Gospel, the story is infused with elements of faith, doubt, hope, and divine intervention.

This story takes us through a wide range of emotions we experience in our own faith journeys, challenging us to consider our own reactions. How do you react in the face of desperation, delays, bad news, and miraculous outcomes?

The story captures Jairus’ unwavering faith in action. It is a powerful narrative with tremendous implications for modern-day Christians. It serves as a reminder of the miraculous possibilities that faith can bring into one’s life. 

It shows that even when the odds are against us, faith can open the door to miraculous outcomes. It encourages us to ‘keep the faith’ even when everything around us suggests otherwise. 

So, the next time you find yourself anxious about why something hasn’t happened yet, you can remember Jairus and how his story reminds us of the power of trusting in God —even when circumstances make it seem like all is lost.

ஒரு மாற்றத்தின் கதை (லூக்கா 8:26 – 39)

மனித நிலையின் பல பரிமாணங்களை இந்தக் கதை வெளிப்படுத்துகிறது. இந்தக் கதையிலிருந்து நாம் கற்றுக் கொள்ளக்கூடிய விஷயங்கள் ஏராளம்.

இயேசு கதரேனருடைய நாட்டில் ஒரு பித்து பிடித்தவனைக் குணப்படுத்தியச் சந்திப்பு ஒரு அரிய நிகழ்வு என்றால் அது மிகையாகாது.

இயேசு யூதர் அல்லாத பகுதிக்கு எதற்காகச் சென்றார்? இது நமக்குச் சொல்லப்படவில்லை. ஆனால் இயேசு அக்கரைச் சென்றவுடன் அலங்கோலமாக இருந்த ஒரு மனிதனைக் கண்டார். ஒருவேலை அவனைக் குணப்படுத்த அவர் திட்டமிட்டே கூடச் சென்றிருக்கலாம். 

எங்குச் சென்றாலும் பெருங்கூட்டம் இயேசுவைப் பின்தொடர்ந்தது. ஆனால் அவர் தனிப்பட்டவர்களைச் சந்திக்க தயங்கியதுமில்லை தவறியதுமில்லை தவிற்ததுமில்லை. எந்நாளும் நடப்பதுதான் இன்றும் நடந்தது.

கதரேனருடைய நாட்டில் இயேசு ஒரு தனி ஒருவனைக் குணமாக்கி மீட்டார். இந்தக் கதை மனித நிலையின் பல பரிமாணங்களை வெளிப்படுத்துகிறது.

நம் போராட்டங்களின் மொத்த உருவம்

 அங்கே இயேசு சந்தித்த மனிதன் மிகுந்த பரிதாபத்துக்குரியவன். அவன் ஆடைகளைக் களைந்து தனிமையே கதி என்று சுற்றி திரிந்தான். கதரேனருடைய நாட்டைச் சுற்றியிருந்த வனாந்திர பகுதிகளில் உள்ள பல கல்லறைகளிலே தங்கியிருந்தான்.

இக்கதையின் “கல்லறைகள்” தனிமையின்  அடையாளக் குறியீடாகும். மனித விரக்தியின் ஆழத்தை இக்கல்லறைகள் அழுத்தமாக வலியுறுத்துகின்றன. உடல் ரீதியாக மட்டுமல்ல, உணர்வு ரீதியாகவும், சமூக ரீதியாகவும் நடக்கும் மனித போராட்டத்தின் மொத்த உருவம் தான் இவன். 

நாம் அன்றாடம் கடந்து செல்லும் பல்வேறு போராட்டங்களை அவணது தனிமையும் வேதனையும் அடையாளப்படுத்துகிறது. நம் வாழ்வின் பல்வேறு அம்சங்களில் மாற்றம் வேண்டும் என்பதை நமக்கு உணர்த்துகிறது.

 உங்களை மனரீதியாகவும் உடல்ரீதியாகவும் தனிமைப்படுத்தும் சவால்கள், போராட்டங்கள் என்ன? இவைகளை உணர்வது தான் நாம் முழுமையடைவதற்கான முதல் படியாகும். 

சமூகத்திலிருந்து அந்நியப்படுதல்

வீட்டில் வாழாத இவன், தன்னைத்தானே காயப்படுத்திக் கொள்வான். தன்னைச் சுற்றியுள்ளவர்களையும் பயமுறுத்துவான். கையையும், காலையும் சங்கிலியால் கட்டி, காவலில் வைத்திருந்த போதுங்கூட, அவன் சங்கிலிகளை உடைத்து எறிந்து விடுவான். இது ஒரு அர்த்தமற்ற வாழ்க்கை இல்லையா? சோகமானதும் கூட.

தனிமை, வேதனை, பயம், போன்றவை சமூகத்தில் உள்ள குழப்பங்களின் வெளிப்பாடே! ஒருவன் சமூகத்திலிருந்து தனிமைப்பட்டால் அது அவனுடைய ஆழ்ந்த வேதனையின் அறிகுறி. இந்தச் சமூக விரிசல்களை சரி செய்வதின் கட்டாயத்தை உணராமல் இருப்பது தான் நம்முடைய பேரழிவின் ஆரம்பம்.

இக்கட்டிலும் மாற்றம் சாத்தியமே 

உடல், ஆன்மீகம், அல்லது மன ரீதியான முழுமைக்காக நாம் அனைவரும் ஏங்கித்தவிக்கிரோம் இல்லையா? இந்த முழுமையான மாற்றம் நமக்குச் சாத்தியம் தானா?

இக்கதையில் படகின் வருகை நமக்கு நம்பிக்கையை அடையாளப்படுத்துகிறது. இயேசு இந்தப் பித்து பிடித்தவனின் வாழ்க்கையை முற்றிலும் மாற்றினார். அவன் உடனடியாக மனத்தெளிவடைந்தவனாய் உடைஉடுத்தி இயேசுவின் பாதத்தருகே உட்கார்ந்திருந்தான். இது அவன் திருந்திதற்கான வெளிப்படையான அத்தாட்சி. 

இயேசுவின் வருகை புத்துயிர்க்கான கடவுளின் அருளை குறிக்கிறது. இயேசு படகில் வந்த “ஏரி” இக்கதையின்  “கல்லறைகள்” போல் ஒரு குறியீடாகவும்  செயல்படுகிறது. ஒருபுறம் “கல்லறைகள்” விரக்தியின் நிலையைக் குறிக்கின்றன. மறுபுறம், “இயேசு இவ்வனாந்திர பகுதிக்கு வருவது” நம்பிக்கையின்  நிலையைக்  குறிக்கிறது. “ஏரி” இவ்விரண்டிற்கும் நடுவே ஒரு ‘நுழைவாயிலாக’ காணப்படுகிறது. இக்குறியீடுகள் இக்கதையின் உள்ளர்த்தங்களோடு மிக அழகாக இணைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளன.

இக்கதை  “பரிதாபம்”, “திகில்”, “பிரமிப்பு”  போன்ற பல உணர்ச்சிகளைத் உள்ளடக்கியுள்ளது. . இக்கதையின் ஆரம்பத்தில்  நாம் அன்றாட வாழ்க்கையில் ஏற்படும் விரக்தியை பற்றியும் உறவுகளின் முறிவைப்பற்றியும் தெரிந்துக் கொள்கிறோம். 

மேலும், தனி ஒருவனின் வாழ்க்கையில் ஒரு முழுமையான மாற்றத்தை இயேசு ஏற்படுத்தும்போது, ஒருவித “பிரமிப்பு” ஏற்படுகிறது. இத்தகைய மாற்றம் நம் எல்லோருக்கும் சாத்தியமாகும் என்கின்ற  “நம்பிக்கையும்” பிறக்கிறது.

மனித நிலையின் பல பரிமாணங்களை இந்தக் கதை வெளிப்படுத்துகிறது. இந்தக் கதையிலிருந்து நாம் கற்றுக் கொள்ளக்கூடிய விஷயங்கள் ஏராளம்.

நம்மைத் தனிமைப்படுத்தும் சொந்த சவால்கள் மற்றும்  சிரமங்களைச் சமாளிப்பதற்கான ஆன்மீக வழிகாட்டுதலை நாம் தீவிரமாகத் தேடுவது அவசியம். இயேசு நமக்கு இரங்குவாரா? இது சாத்தியமா?

கதரேனருடைய நாடு பெரும்பாலும் யூதர் அல்லாத பிற இனத்தார் வாழ்ந்துவந்த பகுதி. இந்தப் பகுதியில் தான் இந்த அற்புதமான நிகழ்வு நடைபெறுகின்றது. இயேசு எல்லோருக்கும் ஆனவர் என்பதை லூக்கா முன்னெடுக்கிறார். 

இயேசு ஒரு குறிப்பிட்ட இனக்குழுவினருக்கு அல்லது சமூகத்திற்கு மட்டும் சொந்தம் அல்ல. அவருடைய பணி உலகளாவியது  என்பதை இப்பகுதி சுட்டிக்காட்டுகிறது.  இயேசு அனைவருக்கும் பொதுவானவர். நமக்கானவர். எனவே இக்கூற்று முக்கியமான ஒன்று. அவர் நம் அனைவரின் தனிமையையும் சமூக குழப்பங்களையும் மாற்றக்கூடிய திறனுடையவர்.

மாற்றத்தை முன்னேற்றுவது எப்படி?

இயேசு எல்லையற்ற இரக்கத்தை கொண்டவர். மிகவும் இக்கட்டான சூழ்நிலையிலும் கூடத் தனிநபர் மற்றும் சமூக மாற்றத்தை இயேசுவால் சாத்தியபடுத்த முடியும் என்பதை இந்தக் கதை உணர்த்துகிறது. 

மேலும், இது ஒரு தனிநபரின் குணப்படுத்தலை மட்டும் கூறாமல் சமூகத்தின் மறுசீரமைப்பையும் பற்றியும் இது விவரிக்கின்றது. இந்த மாற்றத்தை முன்னேற்றுவது எப்படி? 

மாற்றத்தை அனுபவித்த பிறகு, நாம் பயனுள்ள முறையில் சமூகத்தில் மீண்டும் ஒருங்கிணைய வேண்டும். நம்முடைய  தனிப்பட்ட திறமைகளைப் பிறருடன் பகிர்ந்து கொள்ள வேண்டும். இவ்வாறு நாம் செய்தால் சமூகத்தில் சாதகமான தாக்கத்தை ஏற்படுத்த முடியும்.

மனம்திருந்திய அவனுக்கு மாறுதல் எப்படி நடந்தது என்பதைப் பற்றி அனைவருக்கும் தெரிவிக்கும்படி அறிவுறுத்தப்பட்டான். மற்றவர்களுக்கு ஊக்கமளிப்பதற்கு அல்லது உதவுவதற்கு நம்முடைய சொந்த கதையினை பகிர்ந்துகொள்ளத் தயங்க கூடாது.

முழுமையான குணமடைய தேவ நம்பிக்கையும் இயேசுவின் இரக்கமும் மிக முக்கியம். மாற்றம் அனைவருக்கும் சொந்தம் தான். 

மாற்றம் சாத்தியமே. இக்கட்டிலும் மாற்றம் சாத்தியமே!
